When I picked her up from school we went out to eat at Subway and then to see a movie. But, not just any movie a "laugh out loud" movie :) We went to see Big Mamma's House 2. It was SO funny at points that I found myself laughing really loud. My daughter was giggling for most of the movie too. It was a much needed "fun" break.

Today I'm thankful for "spur of the moment" ideas that add fun and laughter to normally routine days.

sidenote: I'm still sick :( felt quite miserable but with the help of Tylenol Flu at least I'm feeling a bit better. I don't have the flu but this is the one I had in my cabinet and it's nearly the same as the "cold" version, so that's what I took - and it works.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

What a week! Between feeling exhausted, stressed and just plain blah, I really need to get some sleep. I finally got to bed last night at like 11pm. Had to stay awake and watch the NBC Dateline "To Catch a Predator III" episode. Oh my gosh I won't even go into that story, it makes me sick to know there are so many sick freaks out there in the world.

Okay, now back to why I'm thankful for Saturday Morning Cartoons *smile*

My oldest daughter, heck I'm lucky to get her up and awake by 2pm on any day... but my youngest daughter this child she wakes up when the sun rises. While I'm more like the oldest and could sleep all day and stay up all night. So Saturday morning is my only day to be "me" and sleep. She comes to wake me up, I switch on the TV and tell her to lay down beside me and she watches about 2 hours of morning cartoons while I get to go back to dreamland :) Then I get up, make her breakfast, feed the pets, turn on the computer.. and today I even went back to bed for another hour while she popped in a DVD. The joys of TV babysitting *laugh* This is a Saturday routine in our house. She needs to entertainment break too - with school, homework and everything else I totally feel she deserves a chance to just veg out and have some good old mind numbing television.
